Job Summary |
The Institutional Research (IR) analyst supports informed decision-making and effectiveness across the institution. The analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting institutional data, primarily for state and federal compliance reporting, ad hoc data requests, institutional effectiveness initiatives and processes, and grant-funded projects as assigned. The analyst works closely with the Associate Vice President (AVP) for Institutional Research in support of institutional survey projects, economic development studies, and the retrieval and analysis of external information. The analyst may also support the senior analyst in the completion of compliance-related reporting and benchmarking surveys at the discretion of the AVP. The analyst supports the AVP in accreditation-related activities and assists in the management of accreditation-related data and documentation. The individual will analyze and report necessary data to grant-funded projects as assigned. The analyst will use data management tools to retrieve, analyze, and distribute data for institutional stakeholders. The analyst will support other institutional research professionals in encouraging a data-driven culture across campus through creation of reports and data visualizations.
The analyst has access to a great deal of sensitive and/or confidential information and must have the ability to exercise considerable judgement and discretion. The person must have an ability to appropriately organize and prioritize projects. The individual must receive and respond appropriately to constructive feedback and be self-motivated.
